Ojibo Afrobeat

Ojibo Afrobeat is an afrobeat/afrojazz/high-life music band from Vilnius, Lithuania founded by Gediminas Stankevičius, Karolis Levarauskas and Arūnas Blažys in 2018. The band mainly works in Vilnius, Lithuania, but their music belongs to the Afrobeat scene, centered in London, UK and Lagos, Nigeria.

In January 2020 Ojibo Afrobeat released their debut album “Ojiboland” which also happened to be the first afrobeat album from Lithuania and one of the first ones from Eastern Europe music scene. In 2021 the collective released their first international collaboration, a single called “Igobi Keke” featuring well known kenyan world music artist Makadem. The end of the year was marked with an EP “Transitions“. In 2022 “Ojiboland” was released in LP by greek label “Green Cookie Records”. The band is planning on recording another full length album in spring, 2023.
